1. Cleanse

The first and arguably the most important step in any skincare routine; cleansing. Cleansing removes all dirt, build-up and dead skin from your complexion, prevent pores from becoming blocked and paving the way for other products in your routine to work effectively.

A micellar water is the best way to kick-off your facial. The Micellar Water from Award Winning Danish brand Jorgobé uses micelle molecules and hyaluronic acid which gently but effectively removes makeup, dirt and impurities, leaving the skin clean, refreshed and naturally balanced.

2. Exfoliate

The skin naturally sheds old skin cells during its natural renewal process that happens approximately every 30 days.

Exfoliation simply explains the process of removing dead skin cells from the skin’s surface. This can be done in a few ways such as chemical exfoliation using gentle acids like salicylic or glycolic, or physical exfoliation with a cloth, cleansing tool or scrub. The Codex Exfoliating Wash with exfoliating natural jojoba grains and infused with elderflower water, grapefruit, safflower and milk thistle that has soothing and redness-reducing properties.

3. Cleanse Again

After you have exfoliated, it’s important to cleanse again to make sure any loosened and remaining dead skin are removed from the skin's surface before moving on to the next step.

Use a gentle cleanser that won’t irritate the fresh layer of skin that you have just revealed.  For sensitive or dry skin Ecooking Cleansing Milk is a gentler form of cleansing than cleansing gel which nourishes, cleans and moistens..

4. Mask

An essential step in any skincare and self-care routine; face mask.

If you really want to treat yourself, the Evolve Beauty Bio-Retinol Gold Mask will help to rejuvenate and protect those newly exposed cells....as well as literally making your skin glow with the golden sustainably sourced mineral, Mica.

5. Tone

Once you have removed your mask, tone your face to close the pores and completely refine the complexion before adding your moisturiser.

An effective toner helps to draw out any stubborn impurities and preps the skin for the rest of your routine. Floral Essence from The Glow is a super-hydrating liquid serum and toner in one with botanical alternatives to retinol and hyaluronic acid - hydrates, calms and brightens your skin to give you a radiant complexion and gorgeous glow! It's even suitable for sensitive complexions.
